Local sporting clubs like the West Gippsland Hockey Association (WGHA) are essential community hubs, yet they rely heavily on volunteers to function. Volunteers at WGHA are involved in everything from coaching and club management to field & facility maintenance. Without their dedication, we would not be able to provide quality hockey experiences, which could lead to decreased participation, lower community engagement, and even the possibility of closure.
Volunteering not only keeps our club running but also strengthens community spirit, promotes health, and offers personal development opportunities for everyone involved. Volunteers are indeed the backbone that keeps us thriving and contributing to our community. We deeply appreciate all our volunteers and invite anyone interested in making a difference to get in touch with the WGHA.
Every week or so, we'll send out an email with a list of current volunteering opportunities and details. If you see something you can do, you can contact us directly from the list and let us know you're able to help.
