Our WGHA Under 18 Girls defeated Hockey Ballarat 3-0 to win the 2022 Grassports Junior Country Championships in May.

Bianca Zurrer is making her Hockey One league debut for Hockey Club Melbourne tonight! The year just keeps on getting better for local hockey star Bianca Zurrer. Apart from her semi final appearance in the Women’s Premier League with Waverley Hockey Club, Bianca was in the under 21 state team that won silver at the Nationals in Newcastle, in the under 18 state team that won silver at the Nationals on the Gold Coast where she was named player of the tournament and while flying home found out she was listed on 2024 squad for HC Melbourne. Her hard work at training has paid off with a late call up to play the Canberra Chill tonight in Canberra.Everyone at West Gippsland Hockey Association are super proud of your achievements this year Bianca and tonight is the icing on the cake!Make sure you tune in live to watch the game on 7 Plus.
