West Gippsland Hockey is a sporting organisation that is responsible for the development and governance of 5  playing groups at Bellbird Park, Drouin.

The regional playing groups are Aztecs, Drouids, Gulls, and Warriors, with each playing group catering for all ages from mixed juniors (Under 12, 15 & 18) through to men’s and women’s competitions.

The West Gippsland Strikers are a representative Metro playing group that caters for all junior and senior players and participates in the Melbourne Metropolitan Hockey Competition.

All senior and junior regional competitions are played on synthetic turf at Bellbird Park, Drouin, located in West Gippsland, Victoria.

West Gippsland Hockey aims for all players to have fun in a supportive environment and to have the opportunity to develop their hockey skills and participate in a competitive and friendly competition.

As part of our vision we also undertake to assist in the development and support of additional programs that incorporate all aspects of the game, such as state and country tournaments, umpiring and coaching skills. West Gippsland Hockey represents 5 player groups.

Hockey is a unique family sport which can be played by people from all walks of life, age and skill level.

The player groups have access to a high quality hybrid synthetic pitch, with competition standard lighting enabling both daytime and evening competition and training.

Over the summer months there is a break in regular competition. However, hockey can continue nearly all year round  for those wanting more. There are options such as Hookin2Hockey for the younger players & summer hockey for older juniors and adults.

There are also opportunities to play in Junior Country Championships and Junior State Championships in addition to opportunities for Senior Country Weekends.

Some of our players have been selected to play in the Victorian State Team in their age group.
